Bday Gratitude

A Birthday Gratitude: Years of Grace and Growth

Last month, as I turned another year wiser, my heart was filled with gratitude. I thank God for the life I have lived so far—not because it has been perfect, but because it has been purposeful. Every experience I have faced has come either as a challenge or a victory, and both have shaped me into the person I am today. Each moment, pleasant or painful, has strengthened me, made me bolder, and taught me lessons that only life itself can teach.

Over the years, I have come to recognize my strengths and my weaknesses. Some of them I always knew were within me but was afraid to acknowledge or express. Others surprised me, revealing abilities I didn’t even realize I possessed. I am deeply grateful to God for blessing me with talents, skills, and the inner resilience to keep going even when the road felt uncertain.

Life, of course, has not always been smooth or predictable. It has had its share of struggles, disappointments, and moments of doubt. Yet, I have rarely felt alone. I have been blessed with resources, guidance, and most importantly, courage—the courage to face difficulties head-on. Along the way, I learned to cultivate positivity, accept situations I could not change, understand circumstances with clarity, and act wisely rather than react emotionally. These lessons have helped me grow, realign my goals, and continue moving forward with faith.

On my special day, my gratitude extends to the people who have been my pillars— my loving parents, siblings, family, friends, and especially my husband—my best friend and constant support in sailing through life’s waves. I am profoundly grateful for my two wonderful sons, who are my greatest source of love, strength and joy, and for the children in our family who bring light and freshness into my world. I also cherish everyone I have known, each of whom continually teaches me something new about life every single day.

As I step into another year, my prayer is simple yet heartfelt. Lord, grant me the same strength, support, wisdom, and patience to continue this journey. Help me to be of service to others, to see the best in people, to give without expecting, and to grow in selflessness and compassion. For every breath, every lesson, and every blessing—thank you.
